We're Michael and Micayla Cortez, the husband-and-wife team behind Left Coast Horticulture, which we proudly founded in 2022. Our shared love for plants and design is at the heart of everything we do.

I (Michael) earned my degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design from Indian River State College and spent years managing a large-scale indoor greenhouse, overseeing thousands of plants and leading an incredible team.

Micayla brings unmatched expertise to our work, with her background in leading a medical agriculture facility, handling logistics, packaging, and daily staff management. Her deep knowledge of ornamental and exotic plants, paired with her endless creativity and eye for design, consistently wows our clients and elevates our projects.

Together, we’ve built Left Coast Horticulture to reflect our passion for creating beautiful, thriving landscapes that enhance our clients’ lives and bring their visions to life.
